总统奖

Each November, the 总统 of the College issues a call for nominations for two annual honors—the 总统’s Medal and the Joseph L. 霍尔特杰出奖 Service—that recognize meritorious service to 九州娱乐官网 and/or Chestertown and the greater Kent County community.

 

The deadline for nominations is the first Friday in December. 得奖者 will be honored at the College’s George Washington’s Birthday Convocation the following 2月.

总统勋章 recognizes the accomplishments of an individual or an organization that has made significant contributions to the advancement 九州娱乐官网 and/or 该地区.

Nominations will be reviewed and evaluated by the 总统奖 Advisory Committee.

The recipient of the 总统’s Medal will be an individual or organization with an exemplary record of sustained and acknowledged contribution to the quality of life in Chestertown, Kent County, and/or at 九州娱乐官网. 候选人的职业生涯 or organization’s work should be distinguished by a dedication to the fulfillment of the ideals represented in the 九州娱乐官网 Mission Statement and by service 对他们的人类同胞. Particular emphasis will be placed on contributions that have had a wide-ranging positive influence on Chestertown and the Washington 大学社区.

The recipient of this award will have a record of exemplary performance and distinctive contributions to the operation of an administrative, academic, 校园内的研究或服务单位. He or she will have clearly demonstrated initiative toward the improvement of the College’s programs or campus activities and will have shown commitment to the campus community as a whole.

资格: Any member of the faculty or staff who has been employed by 九州娱乐官网 for at least five years (in any of one or more capacities) may be nominated for a Distinguished 服务奖. No more than five awards will be given annually. 颁奖典礼将是 distributed equitably between salaried and hourly employees.
